A Major Step Forward for Zenith
Zenith College and Career Prep has been recommended for approval by the Arizona State Board for Charter Schools’ Technical Review Panel, which also identified areas for continued preparation. On November 3rd, founder and CEO Dr. Jay Samant will represent Zenith, alongside members of our founding board, to address the panel’s feedback before the State Board considers our application and votes on authorization. That evening, we’ll gather with community, higher education, and industry leaders for our Student Experience Advisory Board interest meeting, continuing to build the relationships that will bring Zenith’s college and career model to life.
From Dr. Samant
Every conversation with a family or community partner reminds me why we’re building Zenith: young people deserve to see what’s possible and have support getting there. This month brought new connections, valuable learning, and an important step toward opening our doors. Thank you for helping us build a school rooted in Maryvale’s strengths and aspirations.

Founding Spotlight: Zenith on the National Stage
Zenith was selected as one of fourteen emerging public charter schools in Charter School Growth Fund’s Seed cohort! This month, Dr. Samant represented Zenith at CSGF’s CEO Retreat in Nashville, connecting with school founders and experienced leaders from across the country. This national support brings investment, coaching, and opportunities to learn as we prepare to serve Maryvale scholars and families.

Inside the Classroom
Building connection before the first bell
Our planning extends beyond campus. On October 29, we attended WEST-MEC Programming for Charter Schools to learn more about technical education opportunities and how they could connect with Zenith’s college and career pathways. We also participated in Columbia Bank’s October 22 networking event, introducing Zenith to community members and building relationships that could support future scholar experiences. These conversations help us turn our vision into practical opportunities for career exploration, hands-on learning, and community connection.
